Arrests Made For Local Burglaries

Nassau County Third Squad Detectives have confirmed the arrest of a 23-year-old Glen Cove woman last Thursday who has been charged with three counts of second-degree burglary for burglaries that occurred in Sea Cliff and Glen Head in June and July.

Patricia Bright, 23, of 12A Janet Lane, in Glen Cove, NY, entered the following residences by cutting the screens on unlocked windows:

– June 21 at 2:30 P.M. entered a residence on Downing Ave. and took assorted jewelry.

– July 19 at 1:00 P.M. entered a residence on Dogwood Lane, proceeds undetermined at this time.

– July 23 at 12:15 P.M. entered a residence on Laurel Ave. and took jewelry.

Bright was arraigned on Friday in First District court in Hempstead, NY.

Nassau County Police have also advised us that a young male from Glen Head, NY (no name available yet) had been apprehended two days ago in Suffolk County and was carrying an unusual ring which was later identified as one of the stolen items from a local home.

Police explained that upon obtaining a warrant to the young man’s home they found much of the property stolen from the local break-ins.

He is expected to be charged shortly and we will be officially once that occurs.

Police are requesting that local residents continue to remain on alert and to report anything suspicious by calling 911.
